Conscientious Visionary

About myself

Hi, I’m Anthony Mika, a freelance visual designer and part-time college professor based in Canada.

With over a decade of experience, I specialize in brand development, motion design, and advertising for clients who want to communicate with clarity and impact.

I’ve worked with brands like Google Maps, Costco Canada, Universal Pictures, and Suzuki Canada. My work has appeared everywhere from the Times Square Nasdaq Tower, billboards along Toronto’s Gardiner Expressway, and even in Style at Home Magazine.

My background includes years in fast-paced agency environments, where I honed my ability to sell creative conceptualization, collaborate across teams, and deliver high-quality work under pressure. As a creative, I aim to build design solutions that solve real problems, guided by empathy, ethics, and strategy.

If you’re looking for an experienced designer who brings energy, insight, and a human touch, let’s connect.

Experience

Professional Background

I’m an honours graduate in Advanced Graphic Design, with additional studies in Psychology, a combination that continues to shape how I approach design.

Over the past four years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching as a part-time professor at Georgian College, where I’ve also developed original course content to support the next generation of designers. Alongside teaching, I’ve spent the last five years running my own freelance business, collaborating internationally, and delivering creative work for large-scale global brands.

Beyond the studio and classroom, I’ve dedicated time to serving on public and post-secondary arts committees, continuing my commitment to supporting creative communities.
